The Dark Side of Brands
By Piers Guilar, Brand Strategist

In the future, will we see the emergence of brands with a darker side? Brands that succeed by making people feel uncomfortable; are mysterious yet exciting; are uncompromising in their convictions and don’t try to be nice to everyone.

Historically, 99 percent of successful brands have built relationships with customers through positive, warm and engaging communications and experiences. This is all very well but it doesn't reflect the full spectrum of emotions humans feel or want to experience.

Avoiding Turbulence with Clear Communications
By Thomas Mueller, Global Director, Dynamic Media

Well before travelers step foot onto an air craft, they've interacted with airline/airport personnel at several touch points: at online travel reservation sites, customer service centers, ticket counters, airport security, and many others. Unfortunately, the lack of clear and simple communications from employees at these critical touch points can often send passengers on a bumpy ride even before takeoff. When transparent communications are implemented consistently across the brand experience, customer satisfaction and loyalty improve significantly.
