Free is a very compelling word. Indeed, it is the most powerful state of being. Built in the birthplace of U.S. Freedom, the public library system in Philidelphia (55 branches), better known as the Free Library, has been an enabler of freedom for over 100 years, and is looking forward to it's next century of free advocacy. This idea was the driving force behind the Library's new visual identity and Web site.
