Austrian-born, London-educated and exceedingly well-traveled Markus is an inveterate explorer, bringing his pioneering spirit to every project he touches. He makes great use of his cultural experience in China by integrating thought, conceptual development and local insight into a new approach to design.
Markus’s curiosity has fueled his passion for creativity ever since arriving in China in 2002. His imagination and ingenuity is reflected in the work he has done for an extensive roster of Chinese and international clients, including Kunlun Oil, the Jet Li One Foundation, Merck Serono China, SPD Bank, Gamania, 233621, Xian-Janssen, Pernod Ricard and VIA tech.
On his journey from northern to southern China, Markus was a founding director of Lemonade Media in Beijing and held the position of design director at The Brand Union Shanghai.
Markus earned a BA in visual communication from Kingston University in the UK. He also studied graphic design at the School of Art and Design in Linz, Austria, and architecture at the Technische Universität Wien in Vienna, Austria.
