Kathleen Kindle

Strategy Director, Brand development, based in Los Angeles

When Kathleen was seven, her father bought a local business called Benjamin's Pharmacy. Her father’s name is Andy, so she was mystified that he didn't change the name. Kathleen’s father explained that people had known and trusted the Benjamin's name for years, so why would he change it? At seven years old, Kathleen had learned her first lesson in the importance and power of brands. Now, as a strategy director in her second term at Siegel+Gale, Kathleen brings her intimate understanding of branding and more than 17 years of experience in strategy, marketing and communications to every project she leads.

Before rejoining Siegel+Gale, Kathleen worked at TBWA\Chiat\Day, developing insightful creative strategies for the automotive (Infiniti), packaged goods (Whiskas, Pedigree, SaraLee), consumer electronics (JBL, Harman Kardon) and financial services (Principal Financial Group) industries. At Fraser Communications, her work focused on the public sector, including the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, First Five of California early childhood development, Flex Your Power energy conservation and the Metropolitan Water District as well as industry leaders such as Whole Foods, Cedars-Sinai and St. John’s Medical Center. At Sapient, Kathleen developed digital brand strategies for Nissan and Infiniti. In her first stint at Siegel+Gale she worked on projects for Charles Schwab, Amgen, Countrywide Home Loans, PIMCO, Pacific Life, IndyMac Bank and PacificCare.

Kathleen has a master’s degree in professional writing from Carnegie Mellon University and an undergraduate degree in English literature and history from Ohio Northern University.
