Clive Rohald needs only four hours of sleep. He’s not sure why—and neither are we—but whatever the reason, our clients are lucky that it’s so. As the London-based creative director for our regions in Europe and the Middle East, Clive’s phone rings both early and late from far-flung locations. He can answer in English, Hebrew or Afrikaans.
Clive’s tireless leadership has led to award-winning designs, naming and brand architecture solutions, and the translation of brand strategies into compelling brand voice solutions for our clients. Recent projects have included the development of the 75th Anniversary Campaign for Saudi Aramco (the state-owned national oil company of Saudi Arabia) and the brand identity for LyondellBasell, the world’s third-largest chemical company.
In 2003, he left Siegel+Gale to co-found Karakter, a strategic brand consultancy focused on global brand implementation for clients including Norsk Hydro and Romtelecom. Four years later, Siegel+Gale acquired Karakter, and Clive came back to the fold. He has managed the creative design of European and Middle Eastern identity programs including B. Braun, Roche Nicholas, Eurotel, Bank Hapoalim, Novartis, El Al, Click GSM, American Express, British American Tobacco, Green Flag, Czech Airlines, Romtelecom and Solidere. Before his first stint at Siegel+Gale, Clive worked with several leading design and advertising agencies in Auckland, Johannesburg and London, including Ogilvy & Mather, D’arcy, Masius Benton & Bowles and Landor Associates. His clients included BMW, Mercedes-Benz, South African Airways, Kellogg’s and Cadburys.
