Angela Medina

When Angela was in the fifth grade, her teacher pushed her to read more books, write as much as possible and make presentations in front of the class. She also tutored other students in complicated subjects like math, in which she excelled. Angela’s experience in grade school laid the foundation for a career as a marketing communications and simplification strategist, a job that requires a wide range of skills and talents, including empathy, awareness and thoughtfulness, as well as the ability to provide deep and perceptive insight on complex issues.
Angela’s passion for simplification is directly correlated to her strong analytical skills and her expertise in enhancing customer experience through the alignment of communications touchpoints for different market segments. In one eye-opening experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas, she listened to members call in, confused and perplexed about responses to their claims. “It was painful,” she says. “They simply couldn't decipher the information they received from the plan.” She led the team that redesigned the Explanation of Benefits—and found enormous gratification in hearing members describe how much easier it was to understand.
For more than 15 years, Angela has displayed her intuitive grasp of details, consulting in strategy development, branding, consumer packaging, sales and marketing communications, financial impact analysis, client/customer reporting and web design. She came to us from Addison, where she worked on projects for Morgan Stanley, Liberty Mutual, Wells Fargo, Guardian and UBS.
Before joining Addison, Angela was a Product Branding account executive at Spring Design Partners, where her clients included Coca-Cola, Bacardi, Nabisco, Kashi and Bayer. She also spent five years at Interbrand, where she transitioned from assistant accountant and Human Resources director to account executive–Latin America, with a client roster including Baybank and Ecopetrol.
Angela holds a Global Professional (dual) MBA in marketing and strategic management from Fordham University and a BS in accounting from Dominican World University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the United States, Angela speaks fluent Spanish.
