Philipp Reker Joins Siegel+Gale as Group Director, Strategy

New appointment bolsters firm’s strategic branding and customer experience capabilities

LOS ANGELES, CALIF., March 29, 2012 – Global strategic branding firm Siegel+Gale today announced the appointment of Philipp Reker as group director, Strategy. Reker brings more than 15 years of brand strategy, marketing and innovation experience to the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Reker joins from DDB Worldwide Communications Group, where he spent the past decade in a variety of roles, including overseeing DDB's entertainment practices in Berlin and Los Angeles and leading DDB’s innovation group. Additionally, he spent three years as the global account lead for Reebok, where he developed the global brand and marketing strategy.

“Philipp’s marketing and innovation experience, coupled with his traditional brand strategy expertise makes him a great fit for the Siegel+Gale team,” said Jason Cieslak, managing director of Siegel+Gale's West Coast offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco. “His extensive range of industry experience will help our clients solve their complex brand challenges.”

Prior to DDB, Rekerworked as a brand manager for both Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz, where he was responsible for brand repositioning, market strategy and integrated marketing programs.

Reker holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Berufsakademie Stuttgart.
