		<description>This is an insightful peek at the fundamental shifts in "expectation" that are happening all around us.

What WAS a reasonable expectation that people struggled to learn device-restricted functionality, has morphed to a new-norm expectation where devices deliver personally meaningful experience, on a mobile device, immediately.

Contrast this 2010 expectation with a mainframe terminal/line printer/report request environment in 1983, or the very expensive workstation/networked printer in 1993, or the laptop PC/inkjet printer in 2003.  We now "expect" an all-digital, near-instantaneous delivery of highly organized, personally relevant, decision enabling content -- to our "phone."

The WSDOT Seattle Area Traffic mobile ap is a current favorite example (URL: ) because the content is delivered to the user RIGHT NOW, and the decision-enabling visual analysis enables regional behaviors.

The NPR News ap cited above is another good one.
